Perfumes
The inspiration for Emmanuelle Amzallag's L'Orientaliste fragrances lies at the foot of the Atlas mountains in Morocco. Sandalwood influenced by the table-makers of the souk and a hinthint of Jasmine from the palace gardens are just two of the fragrances that reflect the volvoluptuous and sensuous qualities of this Moroccan inspired range. The complete line of rare, unique and precious scents was created in 1997 and comprises sixteen different fragrances, as follows:
Jasmine, Musk, Amber, Gardenia, Mimosa, Patchouli, Vanilla, Orange Blossom,
Rose from the Atlas Mountains, Sandalwood, Lala (Princess), Sidi (Prince)
Ajar, Amira (Queen), Divan, Gabriel, Zahara & Turban
The Eaux de parfum, with a concentration of 80% alcohol, is sold in 50ml pump sprays and L’Orientaliste have also created a range of decorative bottles including 50ml hand-painted perfume bottles in enamel and 50ml metallic silver ‘ancestral’ style bottles in keeping with its oriental roots.
Each fragrance has been created in Grasse, France’s perfume capital by the world’s top noses and comes individually packed in boxes suggesting the Henna tradition of Marrakech.
L’Orientaliste masterfully captures in every bottle an immaculate blend of the time-honoured art of perfumery with contemporary tastes and desires.
